The Community Development Department encompasses: Planning, Protective Inspections (building permits & inspections), Economic Development, and GIS. Its functions include activities related to development services and long-range community planning, and assists the community and its stakeholders in establishing land use plans, economic development, and ensuring the quality of new projects through the development permit process. The Department provides all development-related services in one location including planning permits, building permits, building inspections, plan checking, site plan review, and GIS mapping. The Department also provides staff liaisons for the Planning Commission, the Historic Preservation Commission, and the Hearing Examiner.

SEPA 22-13 Westend Villas - Resubmittal

The city of Pullman has issued a Preliminary Mitigated Determination of Nonsignificance for a proposal which involves developing 5.19 acres of undeveloped residential land into twelve (12) 4-unit buildings and two (2) 6-unit buildings with associated utilities and grading.

SEPA 23-05 PSD 267 Internet Tower Project

The city of Pullman has issued a Preliminary Determination of Nonsignificance for a proposal which involves installing a portable skid-mount telescoping 120’ antenna tower for internet radio antennas on land owned by Pullman School District.

Port Withdraws Its Zone Change Application

Earlier today the Port of Whitman County notified the City of Pullman in writing of its decision withdraw its zone change application following a vote of 2 to 1 by the Port Commission on April 20.
